Once planted out, these beans sat for several weeks and appeared to do nothing, although I suspect they were putting down nice a strong root system. Now at just over 3 months old they have climb their supports, have started to flower and we even have the first beans growing.

It only takes a few days for beans to reach a size suitable for eating.

Several bean pods have been left on the plant to mature. When the pod is dried, I will harvest the beans and keep them to sow next year.
